I offer compassionate listening and the ability to hold nonjudgmental space for the full range of human experience—along with practical skills to help navigate the logistics of preparing for death. Below are examples of how I can support you or your loved one.

Companionship, Respite & Vigil

I'm here for conversation, errands, quiet presence, or simply to be with you so your caregivers can rest. Together we'll create a peaceful environment that honors your vision of a good death—your preferred lighting, music, who's present, and how you want care provided. I can help organize visitation schedules, coordinate shifts, and manage communications with your community.

Legacy & Life Review

We can work through unfinished business, express gratitude, seek forgiveness, and make peace with your journey. Drawing on my background in art, journalism, and documentary filmmaking, I can help you create letters, videos, memory projects, or other meaningful legacies. It would be an honor to help capture your voice, essence, and stories.

Advance Care Planning

I'll support you with the practical process of completing your advance directive, DNR, POLST, VSED preparation videos, and other documentation to ensure your medical wishes are clear and honored. I can accompany you to appointments and advocate for your choices.

MAID & VSED

If you're considering Medical Aid in Dying (MAID) or Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking (VSED), I offer compassionate and practical guidance and support throughout your decision-making and process. I'll help you understand your options, navigate required steps, organize documentation, plan your final days, and ensure you have support and comfort throughout. VSED is a marathon and support is crucial. I can help the whole family understand what happens during VSED and how they can be supportive, coordinate schedules and caregiving responsibilities, communicate with healthcare providers and hospice staff, help you and loved ones anticipate the daily changes, and coordinate after-death plans.

Additional Support

I can help connect you and your loved ones with trusted professionals: alternative practitioners, celebrants, grief counselors, support groups, bedside musicians, and more.

Home Funeral

If you'd like to hold a family-directed funeral—keeping your body at home after death, creating space for loved ones to care for your body, share rituals, decorate a casket, and say goodbye—I can guide and support that process.
