2008

In the short film 2008, a young woman reflects on her experience growing up in an LGBTQIA+ family in San Francisco while California repealed same-sex marriage. Against the backdrop of a historical Presidential election and the dysfunctional marriage between her two moms, this young girl has one wish: a pet cat.

While a lot of media tokenizes marginalized identities, 2008 is a short film that doesn’t preach or pander but instead uses a blend of animation and live-action to tell a story that truthfully reflects the lives of LGBTQIA+ families.
